When customers see ambient temperatures below zero degrees Fahrenheit, starting your machine can be incredibly challenging Diesel engines can be problematic during cold starts, and often our customers’ machines are stored in areas without a 120 volt power option. Tucker Sno-Cat® standard equipment options provide our vehicles with an engine block heater, transmission pan heater, and a hydraulic tank heater. If “plugging in” your machine is not an option, a Webasto diesel fired coolant heater is a must. They are plumbed to our diesel tank, run off 12 volts, and easily controlled by a single toggle switch on the center console. The operator can start the heater and go have a cup of coffee. The heater will bring the block temperature to 131 degrees for an easy start. If in an emergency situation, this heater will keep your coolant hot enough to run your cab heater!
