As the snow melts and your Tucker Sno-Cat® heads into off-season storage, it’s important to give your batteries a little extra attention. Proper battery storage care prevents costly replacements, extends lifespan, and ensures your machine is ready to fire up when winter returns.
The prep process is easy but important:
- Disconnect the cables
- Fully charge the batteries using a battery maintenance charger
- Check for cracks or leaks
- Inspect cables for fraying or corrosion
- Label cables to make re-installation easier
- Store batteries upright on a stable surface
- Keep away from direct sunlight or heat sources
A couple hours of prep at the end of the season can add years to battery life and ensure your machine is ready when the snow returns.
